TIP!!! i've research this and found that for some people it helps when you get the fear to imagine something smooth and clear like a blue clear ocean or an unmarked sapphire. this helps me a little bit which is a big step
i also think it's weird that on every site i have been to that breast rash picture is the biggest trigger, in addition people have been writing much more rapidly over the past few months, i think we all must have some stuff in common to have this phobia

Good lord, I love you, people. I never knew how to explain this to other people, and indeed, thought I was the only who felt irrationally put off by holes.

I've had this disgust for clusters for as long as I can remember. I've always had this image that disturbs me, which is seeds inside my skin all together. Maggots bunched up together, the google image results for "neurofibromatosis", bumpy rashes, the undersides of the chickens in chicken run, when the old woman in the movie Ratatouille shoots the ceiling and the light falls down, exposing hundreds of rats all together. Then I saw that breast rash picture and my skin just can't stop crawling and having goosepimples. I really wanted to cry when I saw that picture. At least now I know there's an actual phobia name for it.

I made a mistake and looked at that breast rash picture .The first time I started shaking to the point I had to have a shot of gin to calm down. Now I can't get the image out of my head I find myself trying look at it to get over seeing it that doesn't work. I'm so very sorry I found that pic I don't recommend anyone with this phobia to look at it. I still feel sick. For the longest time my family would laugh at me now I know I'm not crazy.

The holes are digusting and unfortunately for me, my eyes and my brain, I saw the breast pictures. I have been so disturbed by it. I hope this itchy, climb out of my skin feeling goes away soon. I think that image needs to be removed from the entire internet! LOL. (If only)

Ahhh, no way! Me too!

For me it might be clusters of things more than holes. Writhing things too, especially clusters of small writhing things.

Frog eggs, warty toads---hurl. Lotus seed pod made me want to barf since the first time I saw it. I too saw that unbelievably revolting fake photo of a breast with parasites. I was ready to hurl for at least a week and obsessed with thinking about it. The thing is, I've looked it up at least 3 more times. I guess I'm trying to desensitize myself but every time I look at it I have the exact same horror--in fact it's always worse than my memory. I have my own (OCD superstitious?) counter image of pouring hydrogen peroxide into the holes and having all those horrid parasites bubble out. Sorry if I just made anyone sicker.
Weird thing is that I'm not a germ freak or a clean freak in general.

Some of it seems to be about the meaning, so parasites=gross and pomegranate= not gross, but definitely not all of it because there is nothing inherently gross about a seed pod. Also, why are frog eggs and squid suction cups revolting but fish roe sushi OK? Actually why is the little fish roe cute but the big salmon roe disgusting? Go figure.

I'm suspicious this is hard wired though.

Beth - and everyone else - I seriously cannot believe how many people go through the same thing - I had actually forgotten about it until I saw that awful breast image on face book that someone sent today - and it absolutely freaked me out and all day I cannot stop thinking about it - my skin is crawling and my muscles get all tense and I feel like I have to squirm and stretch and clench my fists - it is so strange. But I have to keep looking at the image and after looking at it for a while the reaction seems to get less and less - but if you have not seen it PLEASE do not look at it (even though it is fake) It is the MOST awful thing I think I've ever seen honestly. My sister has the same thing. We've both suffered with anxiety & depression and had a very dis-fuctional growing up (alcoholic father) so I wonder if this has something to do with it. Very strange and awful. At least there is a few of us around!!!!

FINALLY a name to attach to this crazy feeling that I get when I ever I see "something stuck in something" Pomegranates, seed pods, that D*** Toad that gives birth through the wholes in her back....UGH!! I finally found that I was not alone when I was trying to "desensitize"
myself from that "breast rash" picture that I saw at work today via an e-mail, it totally ruined my entire day. I could not get the image out of my head, and I wanted to vomit all day.
I have had this oogie feeling since I was a little girl, and now I am 40, and just want to be rid of it. I have nightmares that there is something in my pores if I see a image of wholes or something similar.
Do anyone think that there is a link between this phobia and the fact that I am a "clean freak", or is that because of the phobia??
